Bad magicians, bad magic...
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, April 27 2013 @ 09:12 AM EDT
I understand that very well. I also understand that, if Motorola wasn't in the
business of providing android-powered phones, Microsoft probably wouldn't have
brought this bogus lawsuit.

You'd have to look at the bigger picture to see what I'm saying. This is bigger
than Motorola, bigger than Microsoft, bigger than IBM, bigger than SCO, bigger
than Novell, bigger than Red Hat, bigger than Apple, bigger than Samsung...
(need I continue?).

This is about the simple freedom of a people who write, share, and enjoy their
own code vs proprietary slave-holders, who want nothing more than to crush the
freedoms that open sourced software gives to people (a freedom that these
proprietary slave-holders term as a "cancer," which I find very
telling).

It is my view that Microsoft is going after Motorola simply because Motorola
embraces that freedom, and because Microsoft sees Motorola as weak prey (it has
also been my observation over the years, that bullies are most often cowards).
