The phrasing a question to elicit a specific non-response
was in the top reply
here.
It is simply unproven that if the potential
financial
windfall for patent licenses are not as good,
innovators will go home and stay
on the couch. Where is the
proof of this?
Its an impossible to
answer question in that its asking for
proof that is in the future. Its asking
, if this decision
survives appeal and reduces or eliminates the financial
benefit will innovators not include their patents in
standards. Then asks for
a link to it right now before the
appeal has even been filed.
On the other
hand if the financial motive was not important
to innovators as the question
implies we should be able to
see that in action today. We should be seeing
companies have
their patents included in standards expecting to loose money
and giving them away for free without any conditions. That
just isnt
happening, if it is providing a link shouldn't be
hard.
That isnt the same
as
And when did you stop beating your wife?
This is a
question that cant be answered in any way.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
