>As for MS Office, who cares?
I haven't cared about MSO since I started using OOo 1.0.
I've been forced, on rare occasions, to use MSO, and each time have
wondered why it has become even more incompatible with itself.
Furthermore, I've noted that my mean time between starting MSO, and
seeing BSOD dropped from a high of around an hour, with MSO97 and
Win2K, to under sixty seconds, with Win7 and MSO 2007.
Meanwhile, the Google Play Store, and iPhone store offer apps that
enable one to, allegedly, create and/or edit content using MSO file
formats. There are no apps in either of those app stores that can edit
ODF file formats, much less create them.
Now wondering if LibO 4.0.3.x can create documents that when saved in
MSO file formats, will cause MSO on Windows, but not under WINE, to
instantly crash, causing a BSOD. Documents that do not cause LibO on
Windows to crash, much less trigger a BSOD. I did have one such
document back when OOo 1.1.3 ZA was released.
