Like the cancer diagnostic gene that is patented in the US and kills folk who
can't afford to use the test. Or the horribly expensive medications that the
third world can't afford but which can be produced in generic form very cheaply.
At least India is seeing the light there.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Those "paddles" were just an insignificant variation on serving
spoons.... should never have been patented....
Now, apparently a patent for a METHOD of delivering a baby using serving spoons,
THAT would have been appropriate!
But wait, birth is a natural phenomenon! no patent! Since everyone would want
to do birth this way (as it saves lives) it would preempt all birth...no
patent!
Or. But wait, its all "mental steps"
Mind: move arms toward spoons, move hands to grasp spoon handles, stick spoon
business end... well you get the idea... mental steps! no patent.
or... but determining when and where to place the spoon heads is all math. Math
is not patentable...
Do you see now why the arguments usually made on this board are all ridiculous?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
