Pretty well anything that produces seeds can be distributed by the wind.
Add birds, mammals and insects into the mix and you have a HUGE problem.
Then there are man made distribution systems.
Cars, Trucks and Trains.
How else would Oil Seed Rape be growing bu the side of the train tracks just
outside London Bridge Station. This place is miles from the nearest field that
is growing it.
Any case brought by the likes of Monsanto would be interesting. Monsanto (Etc)
must answer how they expect to control the distribution of their patented seeds
when there are both natural and man made methods of seed distribution in use all
over the world on a daily basis. That would be interesting to listen to.

Ubuntu & 'apt-get' are not the answer to Life, The Universe & Everything which
is of course, "42" or is it 1.618?

Haven't seeds, pollen and pollinators been found in it at intercontinental
distances from source?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
