The article reads like a PR piece put out by Dell itself,
who at this point
in time needs all the PR it can get or buy
before it goes down the tubes. If it
is such a wonderful
company as the article implies, why is it struggling for
its
very survival right now? With the decline of the PC,
companies have fewer
problems to solve these days? [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Dell Inc called on shareholders on Friday to approve a $24.4 billion buyout
offer by founder and CEO Michael Dell and private equity firm Silver Lake,
saying the bid was superior to other strategic options.
Activist investor
Carl Icahn and Southeastern Asset Management launched a counter offer for Dell
earlier this month that would allow shareholders to keep their shares.
