Retaliation? Really? They hold a grudge for an entirely unrelated issue, and
that makes them put their signature on a brief that was handed to them under the
table? Because I seriously doubt they have a stake in the actual case, and it
seems unlikely that they are competent enough in the matters at hand to write
their own brief.
I should read their brief. I have problems with legalese, but this smells like
another proxy for Microsoft, much like some strange new ISO members that
suddenly appeared around the time of the OOXML debacle.

I think it's deeper than just Google, they are copyright maximalists to the
core.
