Because, just maybe, there's nothing wrong with patent law?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying patent law is perfect, but what are the
legislators supposed to do if software is maths, maths is unpatentable, and the
USPTO is issuing software patents left right and centre. Isn't the USPTO part of
the executive?
So the fault does NOT lie with the law and the house and the senate. It lies in
the fact that the law is flouted. And the LAST thing you want is new laws being
brought in because the old laws are being ignored. That way lies incarceration
for the law-abiding while criminals flourish.

But they have done something... they've taken money from those who's interests
are in owning, controlling and profiting all technology.
