I tend to agree. But Apple once was a great company that did some remarkable
things. That was so long ago, in another millennium swept away in the sands of
time, that there aren't that many younger people that remember. But there is
quite a list of good things back in the past. Now Apple is mostly all about
style and perception. I'm sure they generally build good hardware and products
in general -- but back in the day, they were so far ahead in every area, I don't
even know how to begin to describe it.

Microsoft was a monopolist from the moment it got IBM to agree to a
non-exclusive license to MS-DOS so that Microsoft could put that OS on non-IBM
brand computers.

All that said, yes I agree. Today, Apple is evil.
