interstingly, even with the mobile theme, when you go to comment you get the
stuff to the left back, that's mostly clutter[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

While once upon a couple decades ago I made my living from "'puters",
with each passing year I seem to be getting increasingly illiterate. So pardon
if this is a stupid observation/question. I see the option in the upper right
hand corner of the home page. But selecting an option (I chose
"woodnight" since I figured that would be an obvious change from what
I currently had) did not seem to have any effect. I suspect this is because I
don't have JavaScript enabled but it could also be due to an older browser. I
have been aware that for quite some time that in the View -> Use Style menu
of the browser there have been options for this website, namely Basic Page
Style/Woodlands2/Highlight Links. I take it those options exist because of the
way the basic HTML page is written. So I am wondering if the HTML could be
changed such that the new themes are available through the browser menu.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

It seems to default to Grokporate, though I keep choosing Woodlands_2.
After choosing another themes and following the link to comments gives me
Grokporate with no widget visible.
I tried to setting the theme (woodlands_2), went to another site and came back.
Guess what... Grokporate was back.
I so dislike the Grokporate theme already :-)
I know it's early days, so don't take it personal but, please, get it fixed
before too long.
It should default to the 'old' look and allow people to go from there.

Having worked with a number of web content systems (Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress
and Liferay) I love the idea of being able to theme my own Groklaw but the theme
needs to follow through to posts and other parts of the system.
These are just teething problems I think though. Thanks everyone (who works on
maintaining the Groklaw site) for CARING and trying to help. If I can help I
will.

This is nice.
It is a very nice touch, that you will give us all some choices for
Look&Feel. Thank you!
My favourite new one is 'Grokporate' Has a nice feel to it. Cool and clear.
However, i am a creature of habit, so i guess i'll stick with the original
'Woodlands2' - at least for now. :) I know, i'm a dope, but this is The Real
Genuine And Undiluted Groklaw for me....[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

I think I'll run with Groklaw_Blue for a while. To me it seems easier to read on
my desktop.

Looks good, would be nice to have a dark color bg with white
text. My brother in law is partially blind and his biggest
complaint is always about light backgrounds with light text is
hard to read. May help others out :)[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Nice idea!
I'm trying "Groklaw_blue" now. Seems pretty good to me, but it doesn't
stick, that is, when you click on the "Read More" or "nnn
comments" links the theme goes back to the default Woodlands.
Thanks for the hard work.

I am using Chrome on iOS, and I tend to want to magnify.the text if I don't
have my glasses on. Any way to make the text reflow to fit the screen, like
in the book reader app? This is a problem well beyod Groklaw...maybe I
am missing a setting?

Very nice! Looks great.
Thanks for considering mobile users. I'm sitting at my
desktop now, but I do read Groklaw from my phone when I'm not
near a computer.

2 screens side-by-each and they look the same?
I like the new choices mostly
except the side columns are wider than Wood*
I prefer narrower bread, and wider meat in my vertical sandwich!
Thanks to all for putting in the effort to continually improving Groklaw -

Egads! I tried each of the themes, but when I tried "Mobile", I
shuddered because I thought I'd lost the ability to change to another one. You
just have to search for the word "theme" and change it from there.
I'm sure Mobile is fine for those devices. But I'll stick with something a bit
more "desktop" oriented.
Thank you for giving us some variety![ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
