It would be phenomenally amazing though if a natural occurance
did happen.
Only because humans are looking for patterns:
Take
the UK lotto: if the numbers one week came out {5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10} people would
be "surprised" and suspect some kind of fiddling, whereas {29, 33, 35, 36, 45,
48} is considered natural and ok (and happened Sat 08/12/12). They are both
just as likely (1 in 13,983,816 - less likely than being hit by lightning) but
the numbers 5-10 hold such a strong "pattern" that for them to be selected it is
eyed with suspicion.
Back to finding "David" in a cave - it is possible,
just highly unlikely (as that is only one pattern of very-very many); so
actually finding it is surprising, just like the numbers {5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10}
coming up in the UK Lotto are surprising but the numbers {10, 23, 35, 39, 45,
46} (on Sat 22/05/13) are not.
