the special software MS has written to help law enforcement access MS databases.
Does MS cozy relationship with the government have anything to do with their
extensive lobbying?
Just a thought....[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

From the article:
Suddenly the "blanket immunity" clauses in
CISPA
make a lot of sense. The whole point of CISPA, it appears,
is to further
protect these companies when this kind of
information comes
out.
If and when this actually gets to court, I am looking
forward to the discussions where the judicial branch decides
if international
treaties negotiated by the executive
branch, but not ratified by the
legislative branch, are
actually binding.
In other words, is that immunity
clause actually effective?
I would love to hear otherwise, and know that common
sense
says that you cannot make an end run around the people's
constitutional
rights. What a land grab!

lol
Or maybe it's because Microsoft can't figure out how to fix the vulnerabilities
and depends on the NSA to slip them a fix under the table. If that's the case,
then in about 20 years, Windows may actually be (almost) safe enough to use
outside of a sand box. Developers, developers, developers! :)))

The sooner we get rid of Flash (and Java), the better off we'll be.
There's no place for proprietary code in secure operating systems.
