I should have also said that i see little point in having a test or a drug that
is outside ones means to access it, so some may say it's better such test or
drug does not exist, otherwise it's just cruel...
But cruel it is considering Miriad Genetics (?) would help fund a test for the
poor but conveniently did not let any poor know of this fact. It's just
confirmation in my mind that greedy people are also cruel yet society seems to
want to reward these very people the most. Odd miss-loyalties.. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

1. Find a condition (legs seem to be moving a lot)
2. Have it declared a syndrome (Restless Leg Syndrome)
3. Now recognized as a syndrome, we make a drug for it.
4. Sell a lot, reap the rewards.
(as long as we clearly state the side effects, we're OK)
The drug companies saw to it that (after surgery), drugs (and radiation) are the
only approved means of treating cancer. Unfortunately, they are also the least
effective, {not a debate on cancer cures, just an example of the business
model}
