Unfortunately a lot of people DON'T have a choice of smoking or not. Which is
why smoking in buildings or workplaces is now banned in the UK.
I'm minded of the (now somewhat old, obviously) story of the air stewardess who
went to her doctor with a hacking cough and breathing difficulties. "You'll
have to stop smoking" the doctor said. "I'm a non-smoker" she
replied.

OK, I didn't take enough care to make that analogy absolutely spot on, but
second hand smoke does fit the description, sort of. I just wanted to point out
that for the kind of defense the tobacco industry CEOs put up, they should be
considered "criminally inane" and sent to jail.
