How do I prove that by sending an email to
somewhere@example.com, with a message of
"http://example.net/index.html", I'd be reading
http://example.net/index,html in my inbox within 30 minutes?
Or doing gopher searches via email?
Better still, how about an ARCHIE search via EMAIL, without using
VERONICA?
Heck, how many people did _The Great Internet Hunt_ exclusively
via email?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

I am going to have to dig out some old software -- almost
certain that Quarterdeck's mail client did this and was
released in late 1994/early 1995 as a product as part of their
InternetSuite. Hmm.. what did I do with that box.. (and
then what did I do with my DOS 6/Win 3.1 install... )
