Money that Bank of America spends asking its

I wonder if/when Google/Motorola/Samsung
will start to use Apple's/
Microsoft's/Nokia's damages theories
against them. If a H.264 patent is only
worth .1¢ per patent per device then that
means a typical smartphone patent would be
around that. Also if Apple series that
2.25% is to high for all of Motorola's
SEPs n on a phone, then that means Apple's
parents are similarly priced.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Hong Kong’s justice secretary, Rimsky Yuen, says that according to
Hong Kong immigration
records, Joseph is the middle name in Mr. Snowden’s
passport. Yet when the U.S. government submitted
documents as part of a request
to their Hong Kong counterparts to issue a provisional arrest warrant for the
former security contractor, they specified one Edward James Snowden. In
another, they simply referred to
him as Edward J. Snowden, according to Mr.
Yuen.
... attempts to process the U.S. request were further
complicated
by the fact that the U.S. didn’t specify any passport number for Mr. Snowden in
its documents.

Or maybe Mr Snowden was an efficient
spook, and had a couple of spare passports
in synonymous identities.

Chief executive Richard Yu stood on stage to announce the Huawei
Ascend P6 – the world’s thinnest smartphone – and to issue a clear statement of
intent. The company has the ambition, simply put, to make the best smartphone
in the world and to sell it for less than Apple or Samsung.

Episode 79: Richard Stallman Speaks About Back Doors
RMS: I
don’t think the US government should use operating systems made in China for the
same reason that most governments shouldn’t use operating systems made in the US
and in fact we just got proof since Microsoft is now known to be telling the NSA
about bugs in Windows before it fixes them.
So. Is this why they
have been so slow in fixing them?
Then why-oh-why is the US Gov so keen on
using windoz for their own in-house solutions?

Federal authorities are making an effort to rein in patent trolls,
but the muddled, dysfunctional U.S. patent system makes significant change a
long process with chances of success limited. --- The following program
