First, I apologize. I did not intend for the parent post to be
a reply to the
grandparent.
Secondly, I think this is an attempt to throw a little more
confusion on the really big lie that the Santa Cruz Operation
= Caldera = The
SCO Group = TSG. Maybe? Can't help but
thinking of Fleetwood Mac's song

Typically, in commerce, a JV establishes an independent entity (company), owned
by the principals (unlike in the vernacular, where a joint venture is just
something you do together with someone else :-)
So IBM is saying that IBM and SCO did not create a new, independent company to
work on Project Monteray, but worked as independent parties towards a common
