OT: Mythology Nit-pick

Depends on which version of the myths you go with. Some vampires are vulnerable
to silver bullets; others aren't. Some can be killed with a stake to the heart;
others find that a mere inconvenience. There's at least half a dozen variants in
real mythology, plus the Bram Stoker version, plus the Hollywood version, plus
countless modern re-imaginings. And I've probably left out a few. :)

(There's at least one other Victorian version that predates Stoker's by several
years, and was quite popular in its day, though it's mostly forgotten now.)

Need those silver bullets

Will need plenty of silver bullets no matter if you shoot a vampire or stake
him. They still will be needed for the celebratory gun play after it all is
finally over.

Garlic
Authored by: Gringo_ on Saturday, June 29 2013 @ 12:17 AM EDT

I love it. I at least use garlic salt on stuff if I am not actually cooking with garlic. Never been bothered by vampires, so there is proof right there it keeps them away.

If I ever was troubled by either vampires or werewolves, however, it is comforting to know there are folks right here on Groklaw that seem to be very knowledgeable and could tell me what to do.

Simple: just use a silver stake. Guaranteed to kill em dead, or whatever. :P

OT: You Need Salt, too!
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, June 29 2013 @ 08:17 AM EDT
The problem is, SCO was a Vampire that acted like a Werewolf, but is now a
ZOMBIE. Zombies are like garden slugs - you need to kill them with salt,
preferably poured on their tongue.

Police steal from homeless ..
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, June 30 2013 @ 10:23 PM EDT
"Police in north London have seized blankets, sleeping bags and food donations from rough sleepers in a crackdown on homelessness .. the belongings .. were snatched by police from a group of homeless people as they sheltered in an abandoned public baths for the night." link

Wouldn't the proper analogy be a zombie?
Authored by: Jaywalk on Monday, July 01 2013 @ 12:46 PM EDT
A company in chapter seven would have to be the corporate equivalent of a zombie; a rotting corpse that's slowly deteriorating. I believe killing a zombie requires chopping off its head.

Speaking of which, where is McBride nowadays?

You said: You know what the Greeks say about vengeance

I think you meant: Geeks
