>specifically Elder or Ash (can't recall, what ever the
Romans used on Jesus).

Oriental Orthodox Christian Tradition has it that cedar,
pine, and cypress were used for that Cross.

Orthodox Christian Tradition has it that Hawthorn was used
for that Cross.

Catholic Christian tradition holds that Aspen was the wood
used for that Cross.

Medieval French Tradition has it the wood was from the three
seeds that Seth planted in the mouth of Adam. The seeds
were from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Microscopic examination of the pieces of the alleged cross
reveal it to be pine, or olive, depending upon where the
Holy Relic is located.

Most Christian traditions hold that Hawthorn was the wood
used for the Crown of Thorns.

Celtic mythology holds that a staff of Oak will suffice.

Regardless, merely driving a stake through the heart of a
vampire will not kill it. To kill it, one must wait until
the vampire has starved to death, and the body it inhabits,
and through which the stake is driven, has decayed. Then
one decapitates the body through which the stake was driven,
being careful not to spill any blood. Then one burns the
head at the crossroads of one village, and burns the body at
the crossroads of a different village. Finally, one scatters
some of the ashes in a fast flowing river, or the ocean, and
some of them to the wind. and some are buried at the
crossroads at which they were burned.
