USA must not persecute whistleblower Edward Snowden

Spying is something one do when there is a war on. Othertimes
intelligence should be done intelligently. With care and if possible either
within the law of the country spied on (usually called diplomacy) or at least in
some form of secrecy. A public spy-program doesn't gather much information. It
is like shearing a pig, much noise and little wool.

If you happen to be exposed do not behave like a spoiled child.
Do not make a nuisance of your self. Swallow your pride. You will not be the
first to be made a fool of.

The history of spying is long and there is very little glory in it.

Can public knowledge be blown?
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, July 07 2013 @ 09:00 PM EDT
If it is public knowledge that it's the NSA's task to spy on all of us not
inside the US, then how can telling that be wistleblowing?
Frankly, i've beem mostly surpised by the surprise and outrage people have been
faking at his whistleblowing.
(the only 'news' was that it was the NSA and not the CSI, FBI or other
agencies)
But the backdoors were wll-known, and that all the ad-driven agencies keep user
information is wellknown. Yet people _did not care_ .

The Pirate Parties have been campaining on this spying for at least 5 years with
little result, and now all the polticians are ' asking questions' on topics they
have been passing legislation on for years. (including the recent ' cookie law')
