Even if the US does back down, how could they convince anyone to believe them ?

Yes I spelt that right, NRA on the basis
you can see power coming from the barrel of a gun,
when you can't see power coming from a wiretap.

Venezuela and Nicaragua make Snowden asylum 'offers'

The US has backed down silently several times before. That is what a mature
state does. They just don't like it to be common knowledge.

Venezuela and Nicaragua make Snowden asylum 'offers'

Many people in the world hold a grudge against America
because of what America has (allegedly?) done to them. And
America may answers: "Well, you say that just because of
what
has happened between us, but I still think I'm right."

But this is different. Now the USA damaged *its own
citizens*, and the rest of the world - the usually-America-
friendly world - is ashamed, disappointed and worried for
this. It looks like America failed at being "America".

I wonder why Obama is still silent about the whole thing.
This would be the moment you can recognize a great
President.
A President that can lead the nation and make it feel proud
even if mistakes were made. That would be the America
everybody in the world would dream about.

Well, I'm patiently waiting, but the clock is ticking. He
even got a Nobel Peace Price, geez... For what?!
