"He even got a Nobel Peace Price, geez... For what?!"
That's easy. The prize was for not starting the World War III.
And when I say "for", I mean "for making him not start it",
not "because he didn't start it".[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

I wonder why Obama is still silent about the whole thing.
This
would be the moment you can recognize a great
President.
Obama
wasn't silent. He made three specific points:
- He will not scramble
jets to get Snowden
- He will not twist allies arms to get Snowden
- He
welcomes debate on the NSA spying
His actions directly contradict all
three points. He twisted allies arms so they would (implicitly) threaten to
scramble jets in order to get Snowden. The Guardian web site that has been
spearheading the disclosure and discussion of the leaks has been blocked
(censored) at all US military bases while members of the US government
attack
the Guardian and its journalist with slanderous lies. Censorship and ad
hominem attacks; that's about as far from encouraging debate as you can
get.
I just hope Obama never says that he will not use drone strikes to
silence Snowden and Greenwald.
