If journalists knew straight away that he was paid by
the
companies he is commenting on, they may not be so keen to link
their
integrity to his. Some hope with the standard of modern

Perhaps this could be linked on the side bar as "Cast: Commentors".
Most of the earlier SCO commentors seem to have dropped out of sight, but we
also have information burried on the site regarding the backgrounds of Erhelde
and O'Gara.

I wish it would work.
But take Heise (aka Heise Online, aka The H, publishers of print computer
magazines like c't and ix) for example. They were a reputable news outlet. They
know for a long time FM is a paid mouthpiece. Hundreds of commenters have
pointed it out to them. They keep quoting him. They even interviewed him in one
of their printed magazines. At one point they defended the quoting of him
because he published something first.
The only adjustments they did over time to maintain the illusion of journalistic
integrity is downgrading how they refer to him. They no longer call him a patent
specialist.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
