US Gov Lawyers doing what Lawyers do
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, July 08 2013 @ 04:21 PM EDT
viz, being economical with the truth.

How many judges in these countries are going to view all the VT'd evidence from
the Guardian interview in order to check every word of the extradition request?

Answer = None.

US gov Lawyers 1 , Rest of the world 0.

As Mr Snowden is not in any of these countries he does not have a chance to put
together a defence against extradition.

A pre-emptive strike

US Gov Lawyers 1,000,000 , Mr Snowden and the free world 0

IMHO, he does not stand a chance once he leaves Russia. It looks like the US Gov
will stand at nothing in order to get theit hands on him and put him away for
150+ years without parole.

US request for extradition of Edward Snowden - mugshots
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, July 08 2013 @ 06:17 PM EDT
From the current instructions for a New Zealand passport:

---
Provide two identical colour photos that are less than 6 months old
...
• eyes must be clearly showing through glasses, with no reflection
• remove glasses with heavy-rimmed frames
---

Snowden's glasses appear to be of a strength that suggests they are
not worn for vanity or disguise. Reflection free photography has
been around for a hundred and fifty years. Those mugshots look like
they were from his army sign on days.

The Ambassador in Caracas gets a fail from me ...

A little more background, beyond the pontificating pundits.
